The Seoul Metropolitan Government and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) tested six EH216 drones in the city’s Yeouido Hangang Park on Nov. 11. The city is planning on implementing an unmanned drone taxi service in 2025, according to MOLIT. Made by Chinese firm EHang, the drones flew at an altitude of 50 meters for about seven minutes, traveling 3.6 kilometers. Although the drones are designed to carry two people each, the test flights were conducted with each drone carrying three sacks of rice, each one weighing around 20 kilograms.
