According to CEO Score, stocks held by Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Kun-hee are worth a whopping 14.87 trillion won (US$12.49 billion) as of Sept. 6, making his stocks the most valuable out of any owned by a chaebol leader. Lee, who is currently bedridden, is widely regarded as retired, while his son Lee Jae-yong, currently vice chairman, is commonly viewed as the chaebol’s successor. In fact, Lee Jae-yong stocks are the second most valuable in the country, at 6.25 trillion won (US$5.24 billion), followed by Hyundai Motor Chairman Chung Mong-koo, whose stocks are valued at 4.29 trillion won (US$3.6 billion).
